Eggstravaganza Update for March 30: ☀️ The Egg Hunt is on!
Even though Marlin Park is a little wet, the sun is out to make today work. Bring some galoshes and leave behind your fancy dresses or nice pants, as kids may get a little muddy, but otherwise we hope to have a fun day today at 2PM!
Join us for the return of RSCA’s EGGstravaganza event in Marlin Park on Saturday, March 30 starting at 2pm SHARP!
RSCA welcomes the one and only Santa to Redwood Shores on Sunday, December 10th!
Come greet Santa from 1-3PM at the Sandpiper Multi-Use Room.
Bring your cameras to capture magical moments of your children on Santa’s lap while sharing their requests. Mingle with your neighbors, hum along to holiday tunes, and talk with RSCA board members about current events while waiting your turn to see Santa.
Don’t be late! The line to see Santa can be long, and Santa is a very busy man this time of year!
(RSCA members will have special priority and other families will be given a number based on their arrival for their place in line, and we will do our best to get everybody through to Santa but there may have to be a cut-off point where we cannot give out any more numbers to see Santa before the event closes.)
Join us for the return of RSCA’s EGGstravaganza event in Marlin Park on Saturday, April 1st starting at 2pm SHARP!
Areas will be marked for different age ranges and families are asked to WAIT for the event to officially begin at 2pm SHARP. The searching only lasts for one minute (yes, seriously)!

This year, face coverings are requiredfor this event, even though it takes place outside. The kids are likely to be in very close proximity to one another as they collect eggs, and adults may also be close to others while waiting around the boundaries of the search areas. Children are asked to collect only SIX eggs to ensure there are enough for all to find! RSCA looks forward to seeing Redwood Shores families for this quick and delightful ritual, including photo opportunities with Bunny Backdrops. We hope you’ll share photos with us through the form at rsca.org/celebrations.
It’s time for the RSCA’s annual Eggstravaganza, held every year at Marlin Park in the center of Redwood Shores. Bring all your children and a basket for goodies to the park for the big Egg Hunt, where toddlers and young kids can seek out goodies hidden in the grass and playground. Also, the Easter Bunny will be there to lead off the Egg Hunt and later to pose for pictures with the boys and girls, so be sure to take along a camera as well!
Be sure to arrive early so that your child can line up in the right age category — the eggs disappear quickly, and the whistle begins exactly at 2:00, so be on time! (Please limit your children to 6 eggs each so that everyone can share.)
The Easter Bunny, together with helpers from Troop 27
The Eggstravaganza is run by RSCA, and is a great place to sign up with our organization if you have not yet had a chance to do so. Please join in in making great events like this possible in Redwood Shores!
Dress up your home and yard with lights, Santa, reindeer, snowmen and win prizes! Winning homes will be featured in The PILOT and on the web. If you would like to submit your holiday decorations for consideration and publication in The PILOT, we are asking that you take a photo of your home, apartment, condominium or townhome, and submit it to our Board of Directors for their official “judging” process. Of course, it’s best that this be a “nighttime” photo so we can see how brilliantly the lights and decorations shine in the darkness.
Submission Deadline: December 12
Each photo should be emailed to “” with the resident’s name and street address, including apartment or unit number if applicable.
(Please note that prizes will only be awarded to those who are RSCA members in 2018 or 2019.)
Your photos must be submitted no later than the end of the day Wednesday, December 12th, as our elves will be judging all applicants the day afterwards. Sorry, no late applicants can be considered, as this is a lengthy process!
Santa will be in Redwood Shores to greet everyone on December 9th from 1-3PM, so come out with your family to the Redwood Shores Library and meet Santa!
Bring your cameras to capture magical moments of your children on Santa’s lap while sharing their requests. Mingle with your neighbors, hum along to the Christmas Carols played on the piano, and enjoy a crafts project with the Library staff while waiting your turn to see Santa.
