Redwood Shores 2025 Annual Meeting
Want to know what’s happening here in the Shores? Come out to the Redwood Shores Annual Community Meeting, hosted by RSCA, and get the latest update on “The State of the Shores”.
(*NOTE: The previous RSCA Annual Meeting was held at the Sandpiper Community Center. This year, we are returning to the Redwood Shores Library, which should alleviate any parking difficulties attendees may have had last year. Please make note of the change.)
Santa Visits the Shores
RSCA welcomes the one and only Santa to Redwood Shores on Sunday, December 15th!
Come greet Santa from 1-3PM at Sandpiper School.
Bring your cameras to capture magical moments of your children on Santa’s lap while sharing their requests. Mingle with your neighbors, hum along to holiday tunes, and talk with RSCA board members about current events while waiting your turn to see Santa.
Santa is a very busy man this time of year, so be sure to arrive early if you want to be sure to see him!
Show Your Cards for Disaster Preparedness on November 16th!
Halloween Walk 2024
Bring your kids in their Halloween costumes to Marlin Park on Saturday October 26th, at 2PM sharp for a spooky good time in the park.
RSCA will be giving out treats for the little ones, so bring a goodie bag/bucket!
And PARENTS, don’t forget your cameras for photo opportunities with the Good Witch.
** This event begins on time and does not repeat, so be sure to be on time to participate and receive treats **
RSCA holds this event each year for Shores children elementary school age and under.
Community Conversation About Redwood LIFE Site
Additionally, a community-led meeting will be held on the following Sunday, October 13th. This will provide a chance to follow up on topics which may have come into discussion during the tour. All residents are invited, regardless of attending the tour.
We also appreciate everybody who came out on Oct 6th (despite the incredible heat!) to attend our Neighborhood Tour & Talk event. The best way to understand the scope of this project has proven to be to visit the site first-hand. This guided trip gave attendees a detailed view of the campus as it is today, and highlighted areas where plans propose to expand or redevelop the property. We hope to host this event again, so please reach out if you are interested in a future opportunity to take this tour.
Meet the Candidates Forum 2024
The Redwood Shores Community Association cordially invites you to join us for our annual Meet the Candidates Forum on Wednesday, October 9, from 6:30 – 7:30 PM at the Redwood Shores Library, 399 Marine Pkwy, Redwood City, CA 94065.
Meet the Candidates Forum
Wednesday, October 9th, 6:30 – 7:30pm
Redwood Shores Branch Library
The Candidate Forum provides candidates for City Council, Belmont Redwood Shores School District, and Board of Supervisors an opportunity to introduce themselves to Redwood Shores voters and discuss issues of concern to the Redwood Shores community. Each candidate will spend a few minutes introducing themselves, along with their priorities and goals. Each candidate will be provided a table where they can set out information and community members can come over to speak with them one-on-one.

Shores History Collection & Historic Walk
Redwood Shores Community Association (RSCA) has served Shores residents, businesses and visitors for over 50 years. As our anniversary approaches, we are building a database of historical information to celebrate the uniqueness of our community.
Take the Redwood Shores Historic Walk
To help you learn more about Redwood Shores’ past and present, RSCA created a Historic Walk that takes you to various scenic and historic spots in the neighborhood. This self-guided two-mile walk is accessible by foot or bicycle (or car, although not every spot has available parking.)
You can log into the Redwood Shores Historic Walk link for Google Maps on your phone and take the tour with your mobile device. This digital, guided map will take you through each of the nine spots marked as relevant to the history of the Shores. At each point, you will find a short history lesson as well as archival photos which help tell of how Redwood Shores developed. There are also a few “Bonus Views” of spots to explore if you’re feeling like stretching your legs even further.
View the Redwood Shores Historic Walk in a larger map
On select weekends of the year, you can also look for signboards marking these points of interest for Redwood Shores. Nine signboards in total mark the various points on Bridge Parkway, Marine Parkway, Marlin Park, Davit Lane, and Shell Parkway.
Printed copies of the Redwood Shores Historic Walk are often available at the Redwood Shores Branch Library.
Add Your Story to the History Archive
RSCA also invites residents to contribute to the Redwood Shores History Archive. You can provide historical details or photos about your HOA, or share memories from years spent living, working or visiting Redwood Shores.
Click here to submit historical information and photos.
(We may feature these in future editions of The PILOT.)
Thank you for your participation and support!
Redwood Shores Levee Cleanup
Thank you to everybody who came out to this event on the 24th! RSCA appreciates all the effort you all put into helping keep our community and environment clean, and encourage those who missed it to pin this August event on the calendar for next year, as well as to look out for similar clean-up and conservation events across San Mateo County to volunteer your time to.
At the end of each August, your Redwood Shores Community Association has sponsored our Annual Levee Cleanup. To benefit the environment, the community bonds together to help beautify the nearly seven miles (yes, 7 miles!) of levee surrounding the Shores. And we need all the help we can get to cover those seven miles.
Date: Saturday, August 24
Time: 8:00 am until noon
Place: Mariner Park, Redwood Shores, CA 94065
