Lagoon work has run over schedule but is still active around Shorebird Island. Anticipate the work to be completed by the end of February.
Redwood City has given the dredging contractor permisson to work Saturdays in January to stay on schedule.
The dredging will continue until December 18th and will begin in the lagoon closest to Area H, norh of Marine Parkway only (Zone 9A)
In October, the City Council approved a contract with the firm Aquatic Environments to perform dredging in certain lagoons at Redwood Shores. This work will help specified areas of the lagoon to better “flush” and therefore improve water quality and appearance (please see www.redwoodcity.org/shoresdredging).
